Integrating Flow into Lessons

Expanding your teaching style

Active participation (max. 4-5 participants) requires the courage, to teach for approx. 30 minutes an own student or a student organized by the hosting music school in front of the group. Afterwards, the participants receive feedback on the strengths of their own teaching style as well as suggestions and tips for improvements and the activation of previously untapped potentials. The feedback is respectful and appreciative and analyzes the effect of efficient interventions.

The learning effect of observing colleagues, who teach different instruments, is always amazing. The reason for this is the universal validity of the principles of effective teaching.

The focus is on the playful training of the so-called 'implicit' learning system, the system in which complex processes such as cycling are stored. This learning system works according to very different rules than school learning.

The following topics are covered:

  • How does motor learning work
  • Sensitizing the crucial sensory channels
  • Encouraging the sensual exploration of the instrument
  • The ideal learning zone
  • How to deal with language
